Today wasn't a bad day
8/28/2012
I hope to have another successful term as i did last term as well for this course. Today wasn't a bad day. I think my interview I had today for Calvin Klein went well, although the GM (general manager) made it seem as if it's the most difficult task working there. I was kinda surprised it was a group interview, met some nice people as well. But,i'd rather have the one on one sit down process, having an employee get to know me and how I can express myself personally. Also, great to hear that the supplement company i've kept in contact with would like for me to post forums for them. Nice, to recieve a few samples, it's also great knowing they saw my product review and product educate people on various sportsnutrition supplements.

John,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are really into health and wellness. Is that what you are focusing on while here in school? I am completing my Bachelors of Science in Health Science and like the health and wellness aspect a little more than the biology.
Did you have a chance to check out the Journey On relaxation exercise that was assigned for this unit? It is a great way to relax at the beginning, middle, or end of your day. It helps to have you understand the mind-body connection and the power your thinking has over your body. If you haven't had a chance to, check it out and I would like to hear your reflection on it!

Delete@Stevie Hello Stevi,Great meeting you as well. Yes,i'm majoring in health & wellness. I use to work in sales for a nutrition store for 4 years. I'd say i'm more knowledgable when it comes to sports-nutrition. I'd like to eventually work with a major sports-nutrition company. I've posted a few video's on fb & youtube giving people some product education advice and i just got word from a rep from a company to post/write some reviews for their products. My mother is kinda've in the same field as you're with massage theraphy, she herself is an aesthetician although they deal more along the lines with skincare she has skilled in reiki as well. As for the Journey on relaxtion I really thought it's especially great for everyday use. For days you have a rough time with either a co-worker or boss or just having a bad day. It puts you in that relaxing type of effect to just forget about all the stressful things we may all encounter on a day to day basis.
DeleteTake Care,
John
Hi John,
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot in common. I also am majoring in Health and Wellness along with having interest in nutrition. I began Health and Wellness out of having interest in the overall field and really enjoy the degree program. I see myself continuing on with nutrition after completion of the H&W program though. I have a strong desire to know the details of how nutrients help or hinder us along with wanting to guide us that are in great need of nutritional advice! I used to follow Indy Car pretty closely in the past, maybe 3 or 4 years ago and used to work for sometime in your home town of Michigan City!
Talk soon!
