Unit 5

1.)    The loving kindness technique in contrast to the subtle mind technique is different in visualizing a loved one who is now suffering” giving them care, love and kindness, and thus welcoming the loving kindness into our own hearts and letting it disappear.( Dacher, 2006). The Subtle mind technique tends to generally focus more so on breathing techniques in which the mind responds and it’s mental activity quiets down,( Dacher 2006, p75) Focus is dealing with stabilizing the mind & not attempting to connect with it in any sort or kind of disconnection to eliminate mind chatter and observe the witnessing mind and to remain concentrated. I found that during the exercise I was able to relax and settle my mind to focus by just staying relaxed, this is a great exercise for those who're involved with yogi as well. The loving kindness is more so used to express how one can open and express our heart, mind, and soul to others in the world.

2.) The general connection between both are that spiritual wellness is to mental and physical wellness as a fundamental in living a life of sustained health happiness and wholeness for ourselves and humankind ( Dacher, 2006, p.32) . The spiritual wellness is central to the choices we make in our lives and in our physical wellness. The mind is connected to the body. The connection has generally helped me with making the right health & lifestyle goals for myself and just maintain to keep my focus with finishing school. The spiritual wellness helps with making the right choices of socially with friends in life.

Unit 4

1.)     I found the exercise of Loving Kindness to be great, very relaxing exercise with the sound of the ocean puts you in a relaxed and calm effect. I found this to be a very well exampled to use for anyone who's stress or someone who generally is just suffering from trying to express how to love and express kindness towards other people such as family, co-workers. It's really an exercise that would be very beneficial if someone has lost a loved one & is suffering from the lost of that loved one in their lives, this is the type of exercise to use for to help them from grief.

2.)   A mental workout concept is dealing with having a constant focus and gives the mind an opportunity to expand and to transcend positive thoughts in the mind on a day to day basis, to remain in the zone to have full mental clarity and consciousness to remain calm and peaceful. This is a great plan for anyone to use on a daily basis and anyone should use this routine in day to day life.

Unit 3 blog

1.)    I would rank my physical well being an 8. I'm always working out lifting weights and usually workout about 4 days a week. I'm currently beta-testing an energy gum & also one of the newest nitric oxide products on the market that a company sent to me. I do have a nice get up with energy in the morning. Usually all of the preworkout formulas i've taken before a workout session already contain stims (stimulated concentrated product) usually it's around 300 to 400 milligrams of caffeine which is equivalent to 3 cups of coffee. So,my physical well being is fine & i'm not that big of a guy. I weight about 140 lbs. But, it's good to know that my BMI is on range with my height and weight and that my bodyfat percentage is around 7%.

B.) My spiritual well-being i'd give it a 7. I'm generally the type of person that i'll consider who's been put on this earth as a helper to someone. I'm always giving advice to friends who're going through rough times in their lives. I feel that spiritual well being for myself because I do take the time to reflect and try resolve any issues that may occur, and maintain balance and control of life.

C.) I'd give my psychological well being an 9. I have confidence in my opinions, even if they are contrary to the general consensus, I feel that it's important to have new experiences, trusting relationships with others and that i'm concerned about the welfare of others; I feel that i'm capable of giving strong empathy, affection to others & that I have a goal in life.

2.)  A physical goal that i'd say i would improve on would actually be increase more muscle gain in my legs, yeah i have the chicken leg syndrome. An improvement for spiritual would be remaining more calm, measuring my level of progression, elimate anything which may seem detramential, a goal for psychological i'd say is stay mentally focus with my own life issues if any before others.

3.) Psychological for me would be to staying focu with school, physical would generally just be based on lifting heavier weight and intake more calories than being burned and for spiritual envision my goals and taking the action needed to obtain it.

4.)  I thought it was a soothing exercise it kinda've keeps you relax and gives some good detail. The point that was a little frustrating was statements of various colors & trying to imagine certain aspects while listening.
